Make: Luger

Model: 1910

Serial #: 5528

Caliber: 9mm Luger

Description: Luger, DWM PO-8 RARE 1910 Military, 9mm Serial number 5528 , Crisp Tight action. All-matching numbers. This German military 4 inch Luger is a Super Collectable piece. Mint bore and Strong rifling. I can't recall ever seeing one of these that were ONLY Dated "1910" on the chamber ring In my Lifetime of being a Gundealer. Normally, the Dated ONLY "1910" on the Chamber ring, is accompanied by a second date like the everyday double dated Lugers that I've seen thousands of over the years. Usually even those are not seen too often in 99% condtion because they were all well used in the military. But to Find one of these with a Dated "1910" ONLY on the Chamber ring, is a Rarity. Any Luger Collector would be Hard Pressed to find one of these ONLY Dated "1910" on the Chamber ring Lugers in any condition; much-less in 99% condition as is this Beauty. **** ………………………. This is Very interesting …………………………….. Even though the ( 420 page) Luger book; ("Lugers at Random"), has Rare Prototypes, Cutaways, Carbines, Experimental lugers in .45acp caliber, presentation lugers with hundreds of pictures, and much much more, it does " NOT" have a Single one of these (Dated "1910" on the chamber ring) luger written about or Pictured in this Book ("Lugers at Random" , by Charles Kenyon Jr. ). That says More than A Lot in itself !!!!!!!!! It just begs the question………… Why his book has seemingly every variation Luger & all the Rarities that are in Museums & in the highest of Collectors Collections but he doesn't have even ONE example of this (Dated "1910" on the chamber ring) Luger ! Answer = Because it's Very RARE !!!!!!!!!!!! This is a Fantastic Pre-World War I Luger that has been very well preserved over it's 102 years. A Great investment piece. C&R OK. Heck; at 102 years old, it should technically be on the Antiques List. 99% Retail Price was $4499

Condition: 99%

Price: 3299

Comments: You WON'T Find another one of these ! Even if you were lucky enough to find one; it Sure Wouldn't be in this Great Condition and definitely not at my LOW price !

Model: SL SingleBarrel Flare Gun

Serial #: 1942

Caliber: N/A

Description: Walther SL Stainless Steel Single-Barrel Naval Flare Gun. Made 1941 in Germany. ( " Very, Very, Rare " ). World War II Nazi Single Barrel Flare Gun made in Stainless Steel for Naval use. Serial Number 1942. (This is NO mistake ! It was made in 1941 And is Serial 1942). All Matching serial numbers. This is in Museum Quality Condition. It has a 9" inch Heavy Stainless Steel barrel with a MINT bore. It looks like it is practically unfired. Wood checkered grips and Forestock. On the left side of the frame it is Marked "ac 41" to the right of serial number 1942, and stamped with the Nazi Mark of the Eagle on the encircled Swatika with the Letter "M" to it's left and " 111/3 to the Swatika's right. On the Right Side of the Frame & Barrel is the Eagle on top of what looks like a Tree in an upside-down heart. The Serial number is also stamped on the underlug of the Barrel. No corrosion or marks other than under the Forestock and under the Grips; which only shows it's originality of being on some Submarine or Warship in the Salty Ocean. - This is Superiorly cleaner than ANY others that I've ever seen in my lifetime ! The Barrel Selector still Moves like a Swiss Watch after 71 years ! This is a Substantially Heavy Fare Pistol at 4 pounds. ( Just To give you an idea of the size. The Bore looks to be that of a Eight or even a Six Gauge Shotgun ! ) It Breaks open with the lever below the triggerguard. It has a Very Clean and Tight action. This is a A GREAT Collector piece for Any Collection ! It would be impossible to find a Better one of these, even in a Museum ! This is: " VERY, VERY, VERY, RARE ! Yes, I said Very RARE 3 times. The SINGLE Barrel Stainless Steel Walther is EVEN More RARE than the Double Barrel. Especially in this MintY condition. I Conservatively; estimate that Originally; only Half as many of these Single Barrels were made, as were the Double Barrels. Therefore; I estimate there were Only about 2000 of these Single Barrel Flare Pistols made. Since this is a Non-gun. I Can ship it right to your doorstep with proof of Age over 21 years old. Originally; there were ONLY an estimated 2000 produced. These had a VERY, VERY, VERY, LOW SURVIVAL Rate. Most of these went down into the Ocean with all of the Nazi Destroyers, Submarines, and the rest of their defeated Naval fleet. This is the Holy Grail amongst Walther Collectors and Other Flare pistol Collectors. It has a 99.9% Gorgeous and radiant luster of Shine to it's Stainless Steel finish. It is difficult at best to take pictures of Shiny guns/non-guns with Stainless Steel, Nickel, Gold and similar finishes. That is why I've taken 30+ pictures. I'm a Gun Dealer/Collector of 30 + years. I know what other Dealers and Collectors are wanting and I like what I do. But I'm not the best of photograhers. I use an automatic flash and so on. Subsequently; my items are always better when the new owner gets them and sees them in person then my pictures. My camera picks up everything & then some. It often picks up the infinitesimal filaments than the naked eye can't see from my T-shirt & Terrycloths when I rubb them after cleaning all my guns with Hoppe's #9. So enjoy the pictures but remember it's better in person than on film. ************************ ...................... On a personal comment: ............. While cleaning this VERY, VERY, VERY RARE Made only in 1941 German Flare pistol, I could only imagine what stories it could say about where it was and what it had seen both then and in the last 71 years. Sure, there's a few small marks. I would be scared to buy one of these if it were absolutely mint because then it might not be the real thing. Oh ! by the way; When I removed the grips there was a lot of old debri that came out from the many years of age-ing. Thankfully, Stainless Steel doesn't rust up like most other metals do. The only signs of pitting from the Salty Ocean are under the Forestock on the underside of the left barrel, under the grips, and just a hint on the grip backstrap. I wondered if either were Ever removed at all ? Still, this is a Museum piece that needs no apolgies. Rather still, it is more-so to be Awe-inspiring. What a Great find of a piece of History.
